Editor and Webmaster’s Corner
JT here, I hope you like the new look and faster speed of the web site!
My name is John Toms, but everyone calls me “JT”. I have been a member of the Chapter for four years. I ride a FLHX Street Glide and look forward to riding with as many of you as possible.
A few tips. To ensure that you are seeing emails from us, make sure that you have added editor@palaineilhogchapter.com to your address book or moved a message from this address to your inbox. This should ensure that messages are not going directly to your spam or junk mail folder and getting missed.
We are looking for people to contribute to the site. If you can provide info or pictures of any of the chapter events please send them to me at editor@palatineilhogchapter.com. These do not have to be official Palatine chapter events. I would love to get more shots of members on vacation or just sharing impromptu rides with other members, as well as getting some text sharing the events of the ride. You never know you could be in the newsletter.
I also welcome any input or ideas and suggestions you have as to what you would like to see happen regarding the web site or the newsletters. This is after all your chapter and we want it to reflect your wishes as much as possible. Lastly I know time is valuable (boy have my twins taught me that) but let’s all really make a effort to make at least one ride a month. The Road Captains work really hard to provide these and we need to show our support by showing up. I guarantee you will have a great time if you do. Remember there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes and attitude.
Finally pardon my shameless promotion of my family at the 2009 HOG Picnic below, the 4 of us hope to see all of you this year. Thanks for the pictures Tracy!
